From Shetland Sheepdog Club of SE FL held in Pompano Beach
"The two -day event covered grooming, handling, better breeding practices, and ethics, and it was filled with multi-media presentations and demonstrations. We all learned a great deal from Rick and Marilyn. They are tremendous ambassadors for our lovely breed, and they share a commitment to promote and protect the Shetland Sheepdog. We highly recommend their presentation."
From the Tallahassee SSC -held in Tallahassee FL
"Everyone
is still calling me and thanking me for the seminar and I need to pass
these thanks on to you and Rick. Some who have attended many
seminars said this is the best and the most helpful seminar they have ever
attended. Even though expectations for the seminar were high,
everyone who attended was happily surprised that so much material was
covered so thoroughly, professionally, and tactfully. Marilyn Marlow
and Rick Thompson pour themselves into this. They were so organized
and moved right along with information, demonstrations and handouts, yet
took the time to include each participant and answer every question.
At our club meeting last night everyone was still saying what a wonderful
experience this has been. "

"BTW, didn't get a chance to tell you how much I enjoyed the Columbus
seminar! It MUST have been interesting to keep me going on only
three hours of sleep! You and Rick were a hoot. "
"Today, the Central Ohio
Shetland Sheepdog Association and the Miami Valley Shetland Sheepdog Club
completed the final two days of the seminar titled, "In Search of a
Champion" by Marilyn Marlow and Rick Thompson. Two wonderful,
fun packed days of learning! If any of you have the opportunity to
attend one of Marilyn & Rick's seminars, RUN DON'T WALK to sign up!
The are two of THE most wonderful people I have met. I cannot begin
to express how generous they are. They both are so full of knowledge
and wisdom and are willing to share it with all of us! Their
seminar was informative and fun with just enough of a personal touch to
make everyone feel special.
Once again, thank you Marilyn and Rick for such a wonderful time!"
"I really enjoyed my weekend in Columbus.
I want to thank you
and Rick for sharing your knowledge with the group. People like you
and Rick are truly an asset to the breed. I enjoy meeting people who are
so willing to pass along to others very valuable knowledge pertinent to
bettering the breed. I thought both of you made a great team
together and made the whole weekend go all too fast. They say time
flies when you are having fun! "
"I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the seminar with you and
Rick in Durham last month. I brought home a lot of good practical
knowledge that hasn't been found in a book.
Again...thanks for sharing your secrets and taking the time to educate the
common folk :) What you and Rick are doing will benefit a LOT of
people."
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Marilyn Marlow and
Rick Thompson for their wonderful presentation of last weekend. We
enjoyed ourselves immensely and learned a great deal of information with a
twist, different perspectives, views and theories. As for myself, I
had to immediately go home and groom a sheltie or two and to my surprise,
my skills have improved. I walked away from the experience with more
confidence in grooming and handling and a greater appreciation for our
local breeders and exhibitors. Puppy temperament evaluation was an
education in itself! Thank you for your efforts!
